We can look for something and never find it. Even if it was right in front of our eyes. Why does that happen? Are we just so intent on finding whatever it was till we don’t realize it’s right in front of us? If you wear glasses (I do) or contact lenses then that makes a difference too.
I remember on one occasion, my oldest sister was looking for something (I don’t remember what it was though). She kept looking and looking. Well, my nephew was standing nearby and he pointed out where it was. Now, my sister was standing right in front of where the thing was, but she didn’t see it until my nephew pointed to where it was.
Now, that brings my attention to something else.
And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. (Isaiah 29:18). But I have one more that I hope you’ll think about too.
Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. (Ekekiel 12:2).
The scriptures from above have nothing to do with being blind. The problem is spiritual, not physical. God has many ways of punishing us for being disobedient. You may remember the term called curses. Generational curses in particular. But no matter what you do, you cannot stop that. Only God can. You can fight it all you want, but only God can remove the curse.
Some of us have a lot of problems. It can be the father, mother, and child. They may have been in jail dozens of times. They may have been in a rehabilitation program. But nothing seems to work because no matter how many times they’ve been in jail or rehab, they continue to have the same problems.
I have relatives the same way and we all know someone who has at least one of those problems. Why don’t they change? Because they’re not ready. I’ve talked to them. One never owns up to anything. And he’s in jail right now. While growing up he had problems, but no one did enough to help him. He has a mental condition but he won’t admit that something is wrong. And the man has too much pride. Remember, a haughty spirit before a fall.
It’s terrible that too many are out there who need help. They live in terrible conditions but as long as they’re not hurting themselves or someone else the police won’t do anything. Well, when you’re on the street with no money, that is harmful because you can be hurt or killed. There are organizations that help, but they can only do so much.
The other one has been in several rehabilitation programs, but she wasn’t ready to change. So, how can anyone help her? She said that she prays to God but that’s all. We have to be honest with God because no matter what we do, we cannot fool God. Now, you know what some say, you can fool some people, but you can’t fool them all the time. Well, we can’t fool God anytime.
Praying without action will never work. You must do both in order to really make a change. You can’t have one without the other. But time is moving on. We’re all going to leave this world one day. So many have died when they could’ve been helped. They waited and waited until it was too late. Please, don’t let that happen to you. If any of what I’ve typed here applies to you, then please get help now.
